About Me

My name is Brandy Newell, and I grew up in Lower Burrell, Pennsylvania. I am 28 years old and currently live with my husband Andrew and daughter Ellie in Cheswick.

I graduated from Burrell High School in 2005. During my high school career, I participated in activities such as choir, show choir, spring musical, fall play, and student council.

In 2010, I graduated from Penn State University (main campus) with Bachelor's degrees in History and CLJ (Crime, Law, and Justice). I participated in the women's choir as well as multiple performaces at Penn State New Kensington (Go Back for Murder, Hot-L Baltimore, Noises Off).

After graduating from college, I continued my education at Saint Joseph's University and received my Masters degree in Secondary Education. During that time, I completed my student teaching requirement at Kiski Area High School.

I am currently certified to teach Social Studies 7-12 and English Language Arts 7-12 in the state of Pennsylvania. I have completed several long-term substitute assignments and am currently a building substitute at Burrell High School, where it all began. I love what I do and love seeing the kids every day.
